ED. NOTE I guess we will need overnight escorts and other sexual services for men AND women at these polar cities in the 2500. After all, Lovelock does not call them breeding pairs in the Arctic for nothing! -- danny

Danny,
....to answer your question, any google search on Polar cities will automatically link to your site among others which show your diagrams about polar cities. I think this is because any article from James Lovelock ends up with him mentioning polar cities, which makes people almost involuntarily search for it, and end up looking at your site.

As for the lack of comments here, there seems to be a registration process people need to go through before making a comment, which discourages alot of people from giving their two cents.

I bet alot more people are looking at your site than you would think, because any mention of polar cities will lead people to your site, and your images.

I was pleasantly surprised as to your optimism, do you really think my generation of today -- I am 21 -- has until 2100 before temperatures start rising to 6 degrees, and possibly beyond?

Some reports say that 4-5 degrees celcius of temperature rise could come by 2050, which makes the possibility of Polar cities even more realistic. [ED NOTE: not until 2500 AD, things will be fine for next 100 years live your life fully and enjoy!-]

Among other places, do you think New Zealand would be a good place to live in terms of climate in the next 50-60 years? DANNY- YES!

I fell in love with the place getting to study there for a year, and I was seriously amazed by its potential for self-sustaining energy and food sources. DANNY - YES YES YES

LIFEBOAT NEW ZEALAND YES!

I was wondering how the worst case scenario of Climate Change might affect it? DANNY - THERE WILL BE POLAR CITIES THERE TOO AND IN TASMANIA , LOVELOCK SAYS

I know people might have to give up massive amounts of cattle ranching, but that's an easy fact to get around, especially with the potential of Vertical farming, and the prospect of meat production from Genetic cultures, called In-Vitro meat production.

You haven't actually got any concept here. Just repeating "polar cities" ad nauseam isn't exploring a concept. Until you actually suggest something it is hardly worth shooting it down.

PS. Since seeing the climategate email fraud Prof Lovelock has changed his mind & said that only the sceptics have been sane. You should not misuse his name if you don't know what he says.

From: James Lovelock xxxxxxxxxxx@daisyworld.org

dr lovelock wrote to me on Jan. 12, 2008....after I wrote to him first.....he replied

[I have never met or spoken with Dr Lovelock but I did send him the
images of Deng's polar city designs].....
....and he replied: "Thanks, for showing
me those images. It may very well happen, and soon!"

Neil,

Good points and true, I haven't actually got any concept here. I just repeating "polar cities" ad nauseam and that isn't exploring a concept. Until I actually suggest something, it is hardly worth shooting it down. I see your POV.

I am also a skeptic, and I agree with Dr Lovelock. I do not think I am mis-using his name when he told me himself the quote above. He is the one who spoke first of "breeding pairs in the Arctic"...and that is how i got the idea for polar cities....when the time comes, not now, not for another 500 years
